Breast Reconstruction following Mastectomy

Breast reconstruction is a surgical procedure aimed at creating a new breast shape that closely resembles your other breast as much as possible.

This reconstruction can occur concurrently with a mastectomy (known as immediate reconstruction) or can be deferred to a later time (referred to as delayed reconstruction).

The procedure can involve either the insertion of a breast implant or the utilization of tissue from another part of your body to fashion a new breast.
